Merf....

Fri Nov 18, 2005, 10:05 PM
The holiday season is kicking my ass and it's not even close to Christmas yet! :faint: The only art I seem to be cranking out is oekakis... which, even when elaborate, only take up about 7hrs of my valuable time. I still have lots of things to do though *whine*
I have barely half of the sketches that I need for the pictures for my friends for Christmas. I think some might not get anything from me though. I'm just that busy. Have to budget so that I can finish the damn tarot project for illustration... Then I have to research for the storyboard for the same class... I also have an author report 3-5 pgs double spaced due for my Creative writing class this tuesday. *whimper* Someone shoot me... Or at least inject more time into my day.
Return to Life is still on a hiatus until I get it back from my friend ~ravenkit Which means, no updates until next year. THEN I'll update like there's no tomorrow ^^

On a lighter note, one of my co-workers and I made up a fabulous name for our annoying, senile old fart of a manager.... Merfbur. Hehe, it's funnier if you know what's going on, trust me. I promise it was made up after a long night of exhaustion and relief to be going home.

Okay, I'm leaving before I turn this into a nice long ramble that takes even more time from my life. Ciao from a tired kitty.

Compulsive answering starting here....

Yup! I'm joining the bandwagon :D

Comment, and:

1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll answer any question you ask! Post it in your comment.
3. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
4. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
5. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
6. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. I suppose you don't have to if you really don't want to, though...

Well, I've finally been noticed....

And to think, all it took was someone saying that my green YYH wallpaper was violating several rules.... :sarcasm:
If it's breaking the rules, I wonder, then WHY DOES EVERYONE ELSE HAVE SOMETHING LIKE IT IN THEIR GALLERIES, TOO?????
.....
Okay, I feel a little better now. Annoyed, but better. My question being, if I'm supposed to get permission from the original artist on using his work, then how exactly do I do that? I mean, I doubt Yoshihiro Togashi knows much english and I'm hopeless at Japanese... So THERE'S a lost cause.

Jeez, I'll stop ranting before someone reports this journal and I get kicked off of Deviantart.

On a more positive note, I've gotten at least some of my art things finished. So I guess I should go work on my homework before I forget about it again....

Later.

Edit: Okay, for those of you wondering WHY exactly I got my wallpaper taken down, here's the actual note they sent me:

Sapphire-Lynx,

Your deviation, listed below, has been removed from deviantART due to a violation of our policies:

Title: Green YYH Wallpaper
Submitted: 2004-12-31 11:54:59 pm

Your deviation was removed because it violated one of the following policies:

1. Deviants are responsible for securing the necessary third-party arrangements which allow the submissions to deviantART that are derivative works based on that artists works. Without that arrangement made prior to submission then the deviation is not legally allowed to be submitted.

2. deviantART does not allow the submission of copywritten material without the securing of the necessary third-part arrangements. This means that if a deviant submits the work of another artist, without first obtaining permission, and displaying that permission on deviantART, then the submission is considered a rip.

deviantART enforces a zero tolerance policy in regards to violations of our submission policy and therefore will take the actions that we deem necessary on a case by case basis. There is a possibility that you will be banned from interactivity on deviantART therefore it is suggested that you visit your user page to see if this is in fact the case.

If you feel that you are receiving this in error, or have questions regarding it, then visit the deviantART Help Desk in order to submit an inquiry. It should be noted that replies to this note will go unanswered and your only course of action is the deviantART Help Desk!

I'm kinda at a standstill on what I'm working on right now.. School is keeping me busy and work isn't helping either. I'll get back into the groove of things soon. I joined a club a few weeks back that's an anime/gaming club at Chabot. It's pretty fun and there's a person there that's gotten me into a few new manga, Kazan being one of them :D Sooo awesome! I highly recommend it

Artwise, I'm trying to work on my Christmas gifts and I'm also working on a profile of one of my DBZ characters for a new club I joined. Which is basically a DBZ fan character fight club. Really cool stuff there. If you like DBZ, you should check it out.

Well, the stories are also still on hold... Might not even start working on the sequel again until the new year is done and over with. My binder is still in Ohio after all ^^;

Well, that's it for this. My schedule hasn't killed me yet :w00t: so I'm going to keep on truckin'. :salute:
